Fotolia - A place to sell your Photos

Things are going well with Fotolia. I have 77 photos that have been accepted by the site and I have some that are pending. I took a walk around Girona on Saturday morning and found a few good shots. Planninig to get myself a decent digital camera as soon as I can. I will buy the Canon EOS350D. My son has a Nikon D50 which he is very pleased with. I looked in the view finder of the Canon and it has a much clearer view which I liked. The cameras are very similar in specs and the clincher for me to get the Canon is that we already have a couple of lenses in the house that will fit it, including a nice 55-200 zoom.

I suppose that the good thing about Fotolia is that you can get started with selling your photos even if you don’t have an expensive camera. At the moment I am using a Sony point and shoot camera which had 4 mega pixels. It is good enough for the mega pixels but I would love to have more control over the focusing. Auto focus is fine but when you can’t control the aperture then the camear tries to put everything in focus and sometimes you just want a shorter depth of field so that only the main subject is in focus and the rest is not competing with it for attention.
